What Lucentage is
Lucentage estimates apparent age — how old a face appears in a photograph. It is a statistical model, it is wrong regularly, and its error is not evenly distributed across ages or demographics. Use it for entertainment, research and prototyping. The service is operated by EchoLensa Aesthetic Inc.
What it is not
It is not an age-verification or identity system. You may not use Lucentage to:
- decide whether a person may access age-restricted goods, services, venues or content;
- satisfy a legal or regulatory age-assurance obligation;
- make or inform employment, credit, insurance, housing, education or law-enforcement decisions about a person;
- build a surveillance system, or identify or track individuals whether or not they consent.
Uploading photos
Only upload images you have the right to use, and that the people pictured would be comfortable having you upload. Do not upload sexual imagery of minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or anything else illegal in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for what you send.
Fair use of the service
The estimator is free and rate limited per IP. Do not attempt to evade rate limits, scrape at volume, resell access as your own product, or run the service in a way that degrades it for others. We may block traffic that does.
Availability
The service is provided as-is, with no uptime guarantee and no warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. It may change or disappear without notice. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it or from reliance on an estimate.
Privacy
Uploaded photos are processed in memory and never stored. The privacy policy describes this in full and forms part of these terms.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the date at the top of this page shows when. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
